Atlanta Weekend

Sunday, August 26, 2012
A couple weeks ago I got the opportunity to take my grandmother to Atlanta for her high school class reunion. It was a lot of fun...minus getting sick towards the end of the weekend. Grandma had a great time visiting with her friends and classmates, some of which she hasn't seen in quite a long time.

She grew up in Hapville, outside of Atlanta which happens to be where Chick-fil-a got its start. So we of course had to go eat at the original Chick-fil-a. It was really neat because part of the restaurant actually has waiters and table service.

You can also get all sorts of foods like hamburgers that "normal"Chick-fil-as don't offer. I even think I saw one waitress bringing someone a side of macaroni and cheese. I didn't veer from the normal and felt like I had to order a chicken sandwich and some waffle fries.

Good times. While we were there I also made a trip to Ikea to get a "bookcase" that we are working on transforming into a changing table for the nursery...but thats a topic for another day.
