The one with mickey, and angel and two retro perms

I love christmas ornaments. When we travel that is always our keepsake and I love buying ones that I think are pretty or special in some way. I imagine a few years from now we may have even more than two trees in our house due to an overabundance of ornaments. And that will be just fine.

I love something about every single one of our ornaments so the following is in no shape form or fashion a top 10, but I wanted to capture 10 of the ornaments on our main christmas tree that caught my eye the other night when I had my iphone and an itch for taking pictures.

1. "Santa" Captain Mickey Mouse from our recent Disney cruise. Such sweet memories of our first big trip with P.

2. Henri Bendel snowglobe from NYC. I fell in love with Bendel's flagship store when we were there a couple years ago and this ornament just embodies NYC at Christmas.

3. Mom and me circa 1993(ish). Oh my word, the bangs and perms. It is one of those cheap plastic frames with a instant polaroid picture inside, created at some elementary school function, but this ornament makes me smile year after year though and reminds me of such sweet memories of mom. And the year we had matching perms.

4. A stuffed "common cold" virus wearing a santa hat. Only in the house of a biology nerd. Although this guy and several of his infectious friends came in quite handy this year because they were great for populating the bottom of the tree since they are unbreakable by Perry.

5. Angel. This angel was handmade out of strips of metal. We bought him at a craft fair when we lived in North Carolina. If I remember the story correctly the man who made them was a disabled navy veteran.

6. Perry's "baby's first christmas" ornament from Granna and Granddaddy. It is crazy to think that this will be his first christmas at almost a year old.

7. Hawaii. I asked Andrew to pick out his favorite ornament and this was his choice. It is the ornament we picked out on our honeymoon.

8. Felt bell. This is one of the precious ornaments Andrew's parents gave us to help fill out our tree when we were first married. Correct me if I am wrong Ann, but I am remembering that you made these for y'alls first tree when you were newly married. They are so simple and sweet. Love them.

9. Nativity scene from MD Anderson's Childrens Art Project. Ann and Gary brought this ornament back from a recetrip to MD Anderson. The Childrens Art Project creates products from artwork of young cancer patients and sales go directly back to the care of pediatric patients at MD Anderson. This artwork was made by a little girl named Caitlyn.

10. Expecting Perry. Our sweet friend Beth gave us this ornament last year to commemorate the Christmas I spent "great with child." On my belly it reads, "Perry, coming in 2013." Oh what a difference a year can make.

Those are just a few of my favorites (last night). What are some ornaments on your tree that stand out this year?
