Thank goodness it is Friday. And this week Friday means my day off with P. Let the relaxing and playtime commence. It has been a long week. After the epic night in the car I somehow made it through a day at work which consisted of lecturing to nursing students for 3.5 hours in the morning and then seeing patients in clinic all afternoon. I was totally done by the end of the day. Andrew was working that evening so I got creative in how to entertain a one year old without having to chase him around. So we took pictures of ourselves on my phone. Endless entertainment.

Then I slept for a solid 12 hours wednesday night. Andrew graciously got up with Perry Thursday morning so I could get those last couple of much needed hours of sleep. He is so great! I let myself have a leisurely morning before heading to work so we went to breakfast as a family. Perry had his first taste of orange juice, from a straw, and LOVED it. He bites straws like his mother.

Nothing is on our agenda today except going to Target at some point. I would love to get a 30 minute run in, but I think it is just too cold to get out and run with P in the jogging stroller. Can it be spring yet please?

Oh and there is this little thing on TV tonight called the Olympic opening ceremony. I love the olympics, especially the winter ones. The winter games just seem so much more fun and exotic, probably because we live in Alabama and are mesmerized by the snow on the ground. This is the first year that they actually televised some of the competition before the opening ceremony, so we sat down last night and got our first dose of snowboarding and figure skating. Perry loved it and watched it closely...or he was tired and content to just be sitting in my lap.

Happy Friday!
