Days off are really a misnomer

Today was my day off of work this week. And it started out a little chill and lazy, considering P didn't wake up until 9. But once he was up we were pretty much busy the whole rest of the day. We headed over the mountain this morning to story time at the Bailey Cove library. It was great to see Mrs. Betty and Perry had a fantastic time listening to stories, singing, dancing, coloring and playing with puzzles. It was perfectly geared to his age group where the activity changed right along with his little toddler attention span. Everything was themed around mice, it was so cute.

Afterwards we picked up some food and went and had lunch with my grandma. It was great to see her. Perry gave her the mouse picture he made at story time.

This afternoon while Perry got some rest I cleared everything out of our pantry (you do not want to see the state of mess that is our kitchen at the moment) and took down all of the wire shelving. That was a bit more of a task than I thought it would be, but I feel incredibly productive to have figured it out. Like clockwork Perry woke up right as I was taking down the last shelf. Travis came over tonight briefly to help me get the residual nails out of the walls and show me how to patch the massive holes that were left in the sheet rock from the wire shelves. I am learning all kinds of new skills through this project. Hopefully if all goes as planned we will have a new pantry come the end of the weekend.

The rest of the evening has been spent getting caught up on work emails and prepping for clinic tomorrow. And since it is now 12:30 am and technically already tomorrow, and I have to be in a meeting in 7 hours, I should probably think about heading to bed. Night!
