DIY Disney Luggage Tags

I have been working on a little project over the last week or two that I am just smitten with and wanted to share. We are counting down the days till our next Disney trip (we still have 100+ days but we are still counting and will eventually get there). I half-jokingly told Andrew the other day that I enjoy the planning and build up to Disney almost as much as being there. And I love doing little things that make the magical trip a little more magical.

I decided I wanted to order some custom luggage tags for the trip and after some searching on Pinterest and Etsy I wasn't finding the exact thing I was looking for. So I decided to DIY it.

I am super intrigued by the way Disney takes a basic shape/letter, like a square, and make it obviously (or maybe subtly sometimes) look like a disney character, without needing a face or silhouette of the character.  So with a little time and some powerpoint skills (I use powerpiont for all sorts of unintended purposes), I created these little guys:

Hopefully you can pick out Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto.

I printed them on card stock, cut them out with a paper cutter, adhered the two sides of each together. And then put them in these super easy self-laminating luggage tags from Staples.

I can't wait for them to find a home on our bags and stroller at Disney World this fall (or maybe before). And I might just keep making more characters, because it is so fun to do. If you are interested in how I did it or would like access to my files to customize them for yourself, just send me an email.
