Southeastern Roadtrip, Day 5

The next day we slept in a little bit and had a lazy morning with Dedra at her house. We ventured out mid morning into downtown Greenville to visit this great little coffee shop, walk along the water fall, and do a little shopping.

We had lunch at this fabulous local place (well I think it started in Asheville...so it's pretty much local) called Tupelo Honey. It was so yummy.

After lunch we headed out and drove over to Columbia to spend the night with the Dobeks. Perry was so tired. He slept the whole drive and was still asleep when we got there so we just drove around another 15 minutes or so to make sure he got all the sleep he wanted.

We got to meet Whitney and Brett's little girl Rory for the first time (even though she is over a year old) and their puppy Lily. Rory and Perry weren't quite sure what to make of each other first. But they quickly warmed up and played together.

We went to downtown Lexington, their little town, that evening for the Christmas tree lighting and festival. There was a magician, and his sidekick a bunny rabbit.

And the biggest Santa Claus I think I have ever seen. Neither Rory or Perry were big fans.

Let me say that trying to get a picture of two 1 year olds standing by each other is like herding cats. Probably worse. So this picture is nothing short of a Christmas miracle. lol. Such cuties!

At 8:00 on the dot, we counted down from 10 and the tree was lit. By that point it was bedtime so we took a couple pictures in front of the tree and headed home to put those babies in bed. And honestly the adults were not far behind them.
