High Tea

Thursday, January 8, 2015
Sunday afternoon we were cordially invited over to Ann and Gary's for high tea in honor of the new season of Downton Abbey that started that night. We haven't watched the show in a year or two, since I was out on maternity leave actually (and had more free time for TV). But we would never turn town a tea invitation or time spent with family.

Ann had set the prettiest table and had an amazing assortment of appetizers and danishes and little sandwiches. And tea of course.

There was something for everyone. And for those less refined palates at the table, there was a bowl of bbq kettle chips. And chocolate peanut butter potato chips (just like the queen eats I am sure).

The kiddos were all dressed up and had their best table manners on point. Except when perry licked the chocolate off the chocolate covered strawberries and left the fruit behind.

After we had our fill we did a little more christmas, and let the kids open presents from GG and aunt Lisa. Perry got a toy guitar that he spent the rest of the night playing and a really cool little tykes gas pump.

It was a fun impromptu family night. Thanks for inviting us all over for a tea party, Granna!
