Perry is Two!

We officially have a two year old. At 2:34 Saturday afternoon, Perry turned two. It's amazing to think back and realize that just two years ago, he was this tiny little baby.

We woke up Saturday morning to a quiet and child-free house. Which was strange. Perry spent the night with Granna and Grandaddy Friday night so that we could spend the morning getting his party prepped and set up. We were reunited with our boy about an hour before party time.

Perry's Chugga Chugga Two Two party on the railroad was so fun. He had a fantastic time. More on that later though once I get all the pictures from the photographer. We were able to get some family pictures too before the party started.

Perry wore the same sweater vest (and shoes) that Ben wore to his 2 year old train birthday party. Love hand me down clothes. Emily dug up a picture of ben from his party so we could do a side by side comparison.

After the party we all came home and took long naps. Then Granna and Grandaddy came over for some pizza and more cake. We had cupcakes for the party, but I had a little cake topper made that we cut open after dinner that night.

We spent the rest of the night opening up and playing with some of his new toys.

We are loving life with a two year old. Perry still loves to sleep. He will sleep until 10 am if we let him and still takes 3-4 hour naps in the afternoon at home. He is still in his crib and has only climbed out that one time. We are in the process of slowly putting together his big boy room so it will be ready when he is.

Eating is pretty picky, but typical for an American toddler. He loves hot dogs, chicken nuggets, fries, fruit, .... Not so much on the vegetables, so we sneak them in where ever we can. Just tonight we had a conversation with him and told him he could have chocolate if he would just eat one carrot. He thought about it and decided he didn't want chocolate that badly. He looked at us and said "no chocolate for me." hahaha

We haven't started potty training yet, but he is showing some signs he knows when he "has to go" so we aren't too far from tacking that beast.

Perry's vocabulary has taken off and he is talking in complete sentences, counts and recognizes letters. And sings. He is precious.

Happy 2nd Birthday P! We can't wait to see what the next year has in store for you!
