Throwback Thursday: DG Edition

Thursday, March 5, 2015
This past Monday was international badge day in the world of Greek culture. And by Greek I do not mean the country, I mean organizations that make up the Panhellenic council. It is one of the few opportunities to pull my tiny gold anchor pin out of its box and put it on, even if only for a few hours. It was actually my TimeHop app that reminded me first before I even saw my calendar notification, as it popped up with last years post of me and my anchor boy on badge day.

I don't need an excuse to put P in anchors. I do it every chance I get. But certainly badge day called for his anchor jammies and a selfie.

P.S. fellow DGs - Perry's anchor jammies are from J Crew Factory and are on clearance for $25.

As I pulled out my anchor pin this year, I started thinking about those years at Auburn when the it was a regular part of my wardrobe. Maybe I am nostalgic because I was in Auburn last week and actually spent time walking around campus during a school day and for a moment it felt like I was back there walking between classes. When I walked into COSAM to meet Mrs. Childress for lunch the receptionists even thought I was a student. lol.

Such sweet memories and such sweet friends. Scrolling all the way back to the first pictures I ever posted on Facebook (because Facebook started the fall of my freshman year in college) was a fun trip down memory lane. The top picture is from Founders Day junior year when the then President of DG came to visit and speak. There will always be a special place in my heart for bronze, pink and blue, anchors and cream colored roses. And even more so the precious relationships that began on bid day 2004.
