The rest of last weekend

Neverland was not the only place we went last weekend. We had lots of other fun too. The party pretty much consumed our lives until Saturday afternoon, which we all came home and crashed directly after. Andrew and Perry took for real naps. Kristen and I sat on the couch and watched TV for hours.

That night we split up and had some gender specific fun. The girls (me, Kristen and Adrienne) went out for dinner at Chocolate Bar which we had been wanting to try. It was a fun way to celebrate a party well done. Drinks and food was amazing. And chocolate was everywhere. Even on my strawberry, cheese and balsamic flatbread. And somehow it worked wonderfully.

Even though we had chocolate in our drinks and in our main course, how do you not get dessert when you are at a place called Chocolate Bar? So we got some 'smores, which came with it's own little tableside campfire to roast marshmallows on. Yes please!

The boys (Andrew, Chad and Perry) went out for pizza and came back to the house to put Perry in bed and let the adult males play video games. It was a good night for all.

Sunday we went to church and then out to Mexican lunch with friends. We did a lot of eating this weekend. Perry can eat his weight in chips and queso. At an age when it is a struggle to get him to sit and eat anything, queso is a diet staple.

Sunday night we had a movie night in. Perry got the movie Paddington for his birthday and we had not had a chance to watch it yet. We decided to have a simple picnic dinner in the floor while we watched and tried to coordinate the food to the movie. We really didn't have to try to hard...peanut butter and marmalade sandwiches, gummy bears, teddy grahams, "fish and chips." Not the healthiest of fares. But it was fun and easy and tasty. And the movie was really cute.

Monday was a holiday so we all got a long weekend since school and work was out. Kristen and I took Perry to the open play time at Pump it Up, a big inflatable play and party zone. He hadn't been before and I was a little worried he would be too small and timid to enjoy it, but he loved it. It took him some time to warm up to it all and he went down the little baby slide a whole bunch of times before he was brave enough to venture into the bigger inflatables. Once he gained his confidence though he was going up and down the big kid inflatable slide over and over all by himself. He also loved running around in the moon bounces when he has historically hated them. Score.

He had an awesome time. We will for sure go back there someday. After that we were all good and tired and hungry (us adults did our share of bouncing and sliding too) so we grabbed some lunch and came home. At that point Kristen had to head back to Atlanta and Perry had to head to naptime.

It was so awesome having Kristen in town for the weekend and getting to play and catch up with her! And play we did.
