Strawberry Pickin' and Country Livin'

It was the most beautiful spring weekend last weekend. And we took full advantage of it. Saturday morning we made a family pilgrimage North out to Brown Farms to do some strawberry picking. We filled up a bucket and taught Perry the ways of picking the perfect berry and put him to work.

We filled a bucket up and took our berry loot home. There is nothing better than fresh from the garden strawberries. When we got back to town Perry and I headed the other direction out to the country to visit with Daddy and Aunt T and Herschel the bulldog. We sat in the shade all afternoon and visited, with some brief activity breaks to grill hot dogs and play some tee ball and corn hole.

Perry was not so sure about the bulldog that is about his size but has him well beat weight. He liked him more behind the gate on the porch. And kept deciding that Herschel was hungry and needed another bite of leftover hot dog. Needless to say Herschel was a big fan of Perry. And Perry sure has his Papaw wrapped around his little finger and had him up practicing his tee ball skills and running bases. Thanks for having us out Daddy! It was the perfect day to spend out in the country.
