Weekend al fresco

Tuesday, May 17, 2016

We spent nearly all last weekend playing outside. And it was awesome. Saturday I had to get up early and head downtown to work a booth at Healthy Huntsville for the clinic at work. Other than having some wind issues and having to hold the backdrop in place during the gusty moments, it was a beautiful morning to sit in the sunshine, talk to people as they walked by, and watch braver soles than I do zumba in a public park.

Sunday the church was having a lunch fundraiser for a mission team headed to Uganda next month. We picked up some food and took it to Hay's Nature Preserve there close by for a picnic lunch with Granna and the Eckleys. It was nice to hang out with family, catch up on life and let the kids run around and play together (photo at top).

Then we came home and Perry napped while mommy packed for our upcoming Disney trip and daddy went and played a round of golf. Then we all rendezvoused down at the pool with a bunch of friends for sunday night, pool night. Pizza, sides, drinks and people we love to do life with. Doesn't get any better than that. The pool water is warming...it is actually not a bad temp at all. But the air was unseasonably chilly Sunday night making the whole swimming experience a bit nippy. Didn't stop Travis and Perry from jumping in for a swim and water gun fight. Perry played until he was so cold he was starting to shiver. Then we bundled him up and brought him home for a hot bath to warm up. Another week or two and it will be perfect pool party weather.
