First Day of Preschool 2016

As a homage to throwback Thursday...and an effort to get caught up on family happenings from the past year...I think I am going to try to go back in time and post about some major event I have failed (until this point) to document on Thursday each week...so I hope you will bear with me a bit.

This week we are going to take a big jump back in time to August 2016 and Perry's first day of preschool in the 3 year old class. I love that our sweet preschool operates on a school calendar and we have discrete school years and moments of transition from class to class. This year he is in Ms. Laura's class and it has been a great experience. We didn't know too much what to expect since she was a brand new teacher, but Perry has had a great time, loves her, and is learning so much. They are working hard on their alphabet letters and numbers...and even starting with formal music and Spanish classes. This is also the first year that they have real assigned seats with their names and supplies all their own. Some of his best buddies from years past are in his class (Greg and Brock) but he has made lots of new friends too (one fun little guy named Alex specifically) and enjoys being reunited with friends in other classes in shared gym and outside playtime).

Love our sweet preschool and the experience Perry is having there. And I can't believe he will be in pre-kindergarten already next year...that sounds so big. Which I guess it is. He is growing up right before our eyes.
