Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail

We had a fun and full Easter weekend. Friday and Saturday were filled with eggs and bunnies...all leading up to a Sunday of celebration of what Jesus did for us on the cross. It was a beautiful weekend of warm weather and sunshine.

Friday was Perry's egg hunt at school and class Easter party. Perry had a great time partying with his friends and finding eggs on the playground (while I chased him around and took pictures of the back of his shirt lol).

Friday night was spent at the ballpark watching Perry play t-ball. He had a crowd of family and friends there to watch...Great Grandma, aunt Karen who is in town visiting from Texas, Granna, the Towrys and the Garretts. He is one loved little boy. And a little kid sport game is some quality Friday night entertainment I must admit.

Saturday morning we went to Rivertree for the community Easter celebration - complete with egg hunt, food, petting zoo, balloon animals (courtesy of the talented uncle Matt), inflatables, etc, etc.

Perry got lots of eggs, but sadly none of them had a prize egg piece of paper inside. We dealt with that disappointment and Perry got to learn a lesson about not always winning. And was distracted with a sno-cone. This time next year Clara will probably be learning to toddle around and hunt her first set of eggs. Perry sweetly has declared that he will help hold her basket while she hunts eggs next year....he's going to be a good big brother!

We were all hot and exhausted leaving the church and came home for some much needed rest and air conditioning. Later that evening we dyed eggs (nothing like getting it in just ahead of the Easter deadline) and then had Granna and the Eckleys over for a simple dinner of pizza and games.

Talk about a busy two days...especially for a 9 month pregnant mama. We are counting down the days until we get to meet baby Clara and I am counting down the days until not being pregnant anymore. We also went to the OB on Friday and start weekly appointments from now on. No major news...all looks good and we are just waiting for her to come on her own or to get evicted in a few more weeks. Any time your are ready baby girl!
